Casey Lee
Casey Lee is a Colorado native who grew up in Longmont. She wasted no time in pursuing her passion for cosmetology, which began with kool-aide color treatments on her own hair in grade school. At 18, she received her cosmetology license and began a career as a stylist. After gaining experience at several salons, she and Kristene Sutherland opened KC Salon in September of 2008.
As much as she loves styling hair, she is fulfilled by the relationships she has formed over the last 10+ years and the chance to put a smile on her client’s face. Casey knows how good it feels when she is happy with her hair and loves that she can help someone else feel that way.
Having had to work with her own naturally curly hair, she understands the struggle this can bring. She combines a compassionate and steady approach with years of experience to ensure you leave satisfied every time.
Kristene Sutherland
Longmont has been Kristene’s home for the last 32 years, so when the opportunity to start her own business presented itself eight years ago she couldn’t have been more thrilled. Kristene finished cosmetology school during her senior year of high school and immediately began pursuing her passion.
Kristene’s goal is to provide her clients with the best services, as well as knowledge of the best products the industry has to offer. She attends annual trade shows and stays up to date on the latest industry trends for her clients. Kristene feels blessed to do something she loves, surrounded by great people. The relationships she has built with her clients are what she is most proud of in her career. She couldn’t ask for anything better than to go to work each day and catch up with old friends.
Terri Burton
Even as an industry veteran, Terri holds on to the same passion for styling as she did when she began her career. She completed her initial training in her hometown of Watertown, Connecticut. She worked in a salon there for many years before moving to her 2nd home, Boulder, where she worked in salons up until she had her first daughter. Terri then ran a home-based studio for 12 years, raising two girls along the way. Now teenagers, they help keep me informed of the latest trends in hair and fashion!
Terri loves to dabble in all methods of hair color, from the very subtle to extremely bold and everything in between! She is thrilled to be a part of the KC team and looks forward to continuing to serve its family of clients.
